Trying to capture the small unnoticed parts of life.

Photography and film play a significant role in contemporary life, shaping the way individuals perceive, interpret, and remember the world around them. As visual forms of communication, they have the ability to document reality while also constructing narratives that influence meaning and emotion. For this reason, it is essential that images and film are created with intention, care, and aesthetic consideration.

My aspiration is to pursue a career in which I can capture both real-life moments and fictional narratives through photography and film. This discipline allows for the preservation of moments in time while also providing the creative freedom to interpret and shape stories through visual language.

The quote by Ansel Adams, You don’t take a photograph, you make it strongly informs my approach to photography and filmmaking. It emphasises the importance of deliberate decision-making in the creative process, encouraging careful consideration of composition, lighting, and perspective. This mindset guides me to think critically about how an image is constructed, rather than simply recorded.

So I have started to incorporate aspects of films into my life by pursuing an A Level of Media Studies so I am able to start to learn how to film in a professional manner.
